Rang today, hung up when answerphone took call.

Cold call claiming to be from Microsoft, to "Clear errors from my software" I didn t do it, and have since checked a forum saying it s a common scam.

This number keeps on ringing me. The first time I got a call from this number I had my phone on silent as I was at work. When I tried to ring them back it says that it is not a valid number. I have not answered this number since I have no idea who they are and why I cannot call them back. Seems very suspicious to me. If you get one I would advise you do not answer.

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . This firm leave a message claiming that I "opted into" receiving debt management advice. This is a lie. They are a very dubious organisation as they use an illicit identity and do not conform to recognised data protection or marketing standards.

Looked up Vanderpump and Dyke and found a website about crooked lawyers.

Reported to be from Homeserve but in my Opinion if really Homeserve and you have an account with them, they would write to you rather the phone to make you an offer of a lower rate. Most likely sme sort of scam
