Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - scam PPI calls. Did someone answer any number of this range? The person on the other end told me they were ringing to review my mortgage. When I told her I was uncomfortable discussing it over the phone, she got aggressive and rude. She told me my husband had requested a callback which I knew was a lie because he doesn t deal with this stuff over the net or phone!! when I said that he wouldn t have requested a callback she was really abusive and before she could hang up I told her how rude she was!! Fuming!

Scammers!!!! They called my grandmother regarding a PPI claim, telling her in order to claim she would need to put £400 on a travel card (this was their agency 'commission' apparently), and they would come to her home (beware, they already knew her address) to exchange the travel card for her "PPI compensation cheque". Thankfully we've taught her well and she called me first to ask if I thought it was a scam.
Left a message on my mobile, telling me that they would give me £100 for being a mystery shopper in Tesco. As i never shop in Tesco can I use it in Asda instead? All joking aside, these calls are just a pain in the bum, and should be stopped!

Same experience to report here. Called my mother - exactly the same as others have reported. False statement that HMRC are to issue a writ. As others, simply put the phone down.
