Claiming I have been in an accident which was not my fault 2 yrs ago. I didn t even drive at the time.

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. I am now receiving phone calls telling me I am entitled to a free upgrade and cheaper phone rate. I have told them several times now over five days that this is already sorted and I am now still receiving phone calls. Caller claiming to be from Microsoft Yahoo wanted to check something relating to my Yahoo Local business listing that required I was at a computer. I m out of the office so they said they would call back later. Sounds like a scam.

Obvious call centre noise background noise as soon as I answered, with a delay before anyone responded. The caller had an extremely strong Asian/Indian accent and told me his name was Paul Simon (yeah, right!) calling from Norfolk County Council about a recent accident I d had. I told him I hadn t been involved in an accident, he said it must have been a family member (I live alone, but didn t tell him that), I repeated that he was wrong and asked who he thought had been in the accident. Since discovered they are called Trust money so decided to give them a taste of their own medicine and I call 0141 305 3045 and press one and then go silent when they take my call, Churlish I know but I get about 5 of these type calls a day !!!! IF we all start harassing them back maybe they will change their attitude !
