It s an Umbrella Payroll Company for Contractors. I checked out their website as I m unhappy with my current one, and saw the missed call from them (this number), promptly followed by a text message. Googled the missed call number, saw the text 1min later and out 2+2 together.

I ve received about 8 calls from this number in the last week. When I answer, I can hear what sounds like Call Centre noise, but no person talking to me. After a few seconds they hang up. Not worried or frightened, just a bit miffed that they won t have a conversation with me. We re not really allowed to speak with other adults on my high security wing and by constantly calling me, there s a risk that my handset will be discovered. American sounding woman called me saying she was from Nationwide Trust Bureau. She said someone at this address had a car accident in the past 2 years. (I haven t.) So i asked her what address was that. She repeated her line, do i repeated mine. She hung up.

SCAM / SPAM Flash Expert Guidance. A robot asking me if I had had a no fault accident. I say YES. The very same voice came on the phone, and when I pointed that out, she hung up. Scumbag.

07530836343 rang saying calling from my bank, I have two accounts and they did not say which, also rang on my landline which I rarely use. Told me there was suspect dealings and started asking questions. I don't think my bank would ring me from a mobile so I hung up.

An Asian female called and was very difficult to understand - something about a survey. Replied "No thank you" and I hung up. Number now blocked. We are registered with the TPS, but these calls still get through.

Fraud, automated voice claimed that i would be investigated for suspicious activity with my bank accounts. When I answered it promoted me to press 1, i did so but when answered it was just a bunch of people talking in the background in a foreign language.

SCAM. Fraud. Automated voice in perfect English claiming to be from HMRC. Wants you to pay unpaid fines and fees NOW. The voice is strong, demanding and incessant. Classic fraud. Hang up. Block the number. Report to the Police, if possible.

Called and asked for my husband. I said not available. The very well spoken gentleman asked to leave his number. I asked what it was regarding and he said the estate of *****. I was instantly suspicious as I had not heard of the company in relation to the estate. So I said I hadn t heard of them, he said because we have been speaking to ******. I said no you haven t I don t know you and hung up. Total scan husband fuming!

Purported to be from Carphone Warehouse trying to do a good deal. I've had this type of call from other numbers so don't believe it's real. Told her I'd just taken out a new contract. She was polite enough and said goodbye.

Maybe Asian call centre? The number was found by dialling 1471 and the call time and date were accurate Nov.30 @ 11:13a.m..

Internet claiming to be from BT open reach telling me I have an issue with my internet. Had a very strong accent, so I apologised and said I couldnt understand her very well so I would call BT immediately to find out what the issue was. She didnt have any response to this, will note as annoying as no idea if it would have been a dangerous scam had I not hung up, but as she was telling me to check my router then come back & they would 'fix it' I would assume this is where it was heading!!!
