Called and asked about a car accident I d supposedly had - as soon as I asked how they knew I was in an accident, they claimed my details were included on a National register of car accidents . 25 Nov 2021 - Not an 02 or 03 number so are the scammers changing tactics. Couldn’t understand a word chap was saying so put phone down. Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.
Automated call about national insurance fraud
Don t answer this number because 1) They re trying it on and once they know you will respond you will receive further calls from other numbers too. 2) If you answer from abroad as I did you will be charged even though they cut the call off as soon as you do answer. I was charged 50p for a 1 second call The moral is don t answer if you don t know the callers ID. I save these bogus numbers in my phone so I know not to ever answer again. I will never answer any call from an 0151 number any more.
