Received a call from 01784279719 on 24/08/2017. Asian sounding male asked to talk about my "Windows" PC. So for fun I asked which one? Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 020794618xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, car accident chasers. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Am registered with TPS and numerous other groups and never give out my number and if I must refuse permission for it to be passed on. 14 calls now this week and there s still 3 days to go! This is total harassment!

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - sometimes energy companies. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason! An extremely rude man (possibly antipodean accent) identified himself as being from the "Credit Protection Association", asking for our MD. My request for the reason for his call was met with abuse, so I ceased conversing with him. When I phoned back the number to make a complaint, I was met with a recorded message telling me I had received a marking call from the Credit Protection Association before it disconnected my call.
