Idiot using local area code, calling about a road traffic accident. Hung up when I asked where he got my number. I ve now got a whistle to blow down the line!

Also 0844 3585862. It s an automated messing service. We had a message from the local dentist saying we had an upcoming appointment. In our case it was genuine. We ve had such messages before. However, the company sending the messages doesn t seem to be choosy about who else pays them. Call wasn t wanted or needed. Similar comment put on that number as well.

Receiving these calls everyday and I m getting pretty hacked off! Pressed 9 on many occasions to opt out, still phoning me so press 2 to speak to someone so many times and told will be removed. Still waiting and in meantime still getting phonecalls. On TPS which is very annoying

New numbers like this all the time but: If you have caller ID, get a phone with "night mode" where it only rings for numbers in the stored phone memory.

The call started with "Please listen carefully to the following important message" (or similar). It then went on to say that I only needed to know the name of my bank...

They have no verified information, all based on guess work hoping that you really did have an accident. Just ambulance chasers. Don t bother.
