Called today 21.07.23, Indian sounding call centre claimed they could save me 30% of my O2 bill, I am not with O2, and when I asked where they found my number they said it was from a generated call list. My phone has the function of bringing up the business name when a call comes through, so when I proceeded to tell the caller that the actual call seemed to be coming from Gibb & Evans, he became a little confused! I ended the call and called the number back, to which an English gentleman answered with

Fraud - claimed to be welsh government doing a survey on employment but the gov know my household is not employed due to sickness and being a full time carer The only companies are HMRC and DWP you should speak to, and they rarely call you without a letter to inform. Or, a letter reccomending to call them to resolve an issue. DO NOT TRUST. They will try collecting personal information.

This is a scam number

Supposedly VISA advising me that debits have been made on my card. This is a scam! It is a recorded message expecting a response. The next step is that they want to verify the card number etc and hey ho! you've lost your money.

Phone was off but had a missed call from this number and HUGE reported on line concerns from people about it. It worryingly coincides with DAILY Phishing e mails for past 3/4 months reported to report@phishing/ICO and Microsoft. And apparently NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE IN ALL THAT TIME AND SCAM ATTEMPTS BEING EVERY DAY! Worrying and EXTREMELY annoying. What’s the point of these reporting forums

This number relates to an investment scam called GFA capital. They get you to deposit a small amount of money ($275) and they claim they invest it in crypto and produce huge results. In 5 days my $275 grew to $75000. WOW Then one of their senior investment managers calls you and shows you a bitcoin opportunity, invest $18000 and they will produce a $10000 return in 5 days. BULLSHIT. I requested a withdrawal from my pot and was told that I had to pay £12000 tax to release the funds. Dangerous scam

SCAM Said they were O2. Very convincing. Sent an OTP, like a fool, I gave it to them. By the time their call ended, and I got through to O2 (max 10 minutes), they’d already changed my email and postal addresses. O2 tell me the only time they will ask for the OTP is when a customer calls them. Looks like I stopped them in time, all details now changed, and security info changed, but be careful people. I’m a cautious type, but they fooled me

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back. 0113 328 0671 Sent me a text saying bailiffs and enforcement officers were going to attempt to retrieve my belongings and to call them - so I did in a panic and revived the most disgusting attitude from an Indian man telling me he was trying to retrieve my details and when I wouldn’t give him any he got very irate
