Someone from this number attempted to defraud me by pretending to be a relative needing cash to repay a debt.
Recorded message of female claiming to be from Amazon - regarding my non-existent order for £500 and saying a block had been put on it and to press button 2. Didn't address me by name so I ignored it and put phone down.
SCAM. Automated call supposedly from bank (no bank name given) saying fraudulent transaction on my debit card with £600?? sent overseas. Press 1 if transaction ok, 2 if not. Checked on 1471 and full telephone no. ringing me was 0049170285347. Blocked number, contacted bank, no unauthorised transaction, so a scam.

Put my mobile next to TV and she soon hung up. I don t mind they are paying for the call. TV sound seems quite effective with most unwanted callers.
Caller stated that I or my husband had completed their medical information sheet within the last 12/18 months, which we had no knowledge of. He then went onto what aches and pains we suffer with, as this was part of their survey. Again we asked how they had our ex-directory telephone number, which he refused to answer. He was very persistent and we are concerned of a confidentiality breach of our personal medical information. We subsequently visited reviews of their website and comments about this companies

Received a call today on my landline. Caller was brusk, impolite and there was lityle or no preamble. Asked me questions about aims and values of Labour Party, why I became a member and reg d voter. Clearly knew that I was one. Asked if I d received ballot. I said I had and had voted. Didn t say for who. Asked if I had voted Lab at last GE or someone else. Got a call from this number claiming to be from my Mobile Phone provider offering an upgrade. As I am on a PAYG tariff (satisfactory for my needs) I politely declined their offer and hung-up. If and when I want or need an upgrade I will decide which Company to approach.
This number called today and I didn t have time to Google it before answering. Said they were from American Express, only asked for half my postcode and they knew the type of card I held and how long I have had it.
