Had a call from this number yesterday. At the other end of the phone was a robotic recorded voice allegedly calling from HMRC to say that I had carried out fraudulent activity and that a warrant would be issued for my arrest unless I pressed 1 and followed the instructions. These people need to be hunted down and hung up by their dangly bits in my opinion. Real scumbags preying on the vulnerable!
Suspect untrustworthy. Wanted to offer me a 3 month subscription to the magazine for ?1 an issue (cover price about ?3.50 or so). Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I was driving so said ring back - when she did, I couldn t take the call anyway.

I ve received about 8 calls from this number in the last week. When I answer, I can hear what sounds like Call Centre noise, but no person talking to me. After a few seconds they hang up. Not worried or frightened, just a bit miffed that they won t have a conversation with me. We re not really allowed to speak with other adults on my high security wing and by constantly calling me, there s a risk that my handset will be discovered. Female called saying she was calling about an accident I had reported. I said I hadn t reported an accident and asked where she got the information from. She said she wasn t at liberty to say, then rudely went off on one, ending with it was my fault for not opting out, before slamming the phone down. Opting out of what..? Have blocked caller.
