This appears to be a phasing caller purporting to be from BT.
Claiming I had a car accident and they can help with the claim, when challenged how they obtained my number (registered on TPS) they became very aggressive and abusive. Clearly they operating some sort of scam. Once you begin to challenge them they shut down they will hang up and place you on hold and refuse to give any credible information which would allow you to then report the issue appropriately to get them shutdown.

got a call from this number and they hung up when I answered. few mins later someone rang quoting my name and address saying we had been getting unwanted calls. they could block these calls etc sounded good till charge of 1.90 a month mentioned. i asked who reported these calls but he said it was a general thing people in this area were suffering from. after hung up I checked the number of who called and was same as first caller who had hung up. these are the very same people we dont want calls from surely?

This number called this morning and the recorded message must have started before the answerphone greeting had finished with the result that I only got a very small part of the message left. I don t have any policies, this is a pest call. I had a call two days ago from a woman claiming to be from the MORI poll, tried to get me to sign up to EDF and give out information on what insurance policies I have. Suspect they are linked. Another one for the blocked number list!
I contacted the police as this number is fraud ! Telling me I am being investigated by HMRC.

Called 4 times in one day! I thought about calling back but glad I didn t! I google every unknown number that calls me now. As of late, I am getting unknown calls every other day. I m not sure who I gave these details to, but no doubt at least my phone number has been sold to scammers and or telemarketers.
