I recieved text from this number - claimed to be a Royal Mail message saying they were holding a parcel for me that had a surcharge - it asked me to use a link to arrange delivery. I went to the Royal mail tracking website which said it did not recognise the tracking number they gave. The phone number does not seem to be a Royal Mail number. I concluded it is a scam.

Rang to ask about outstanding debt in my name. I said I don t have any (second time I had spoken to them in the hour) and asked what the debt was. The man said that s what I m trying to find out. I said don t get cross and he called me a f-ing stupid idiot and hung up. Rude, aggressive and fake!
Getting repeted calls upto three times a day all trying to tell me im entitled to ppi. Ive been patient, silent, rude but nothing seems to deter these people. Really think they should stop wasting their money on repeatedly calling the same number to get the same answer. Think next time I answer the phone ill answer it as department of internal fraud and see if that makes a difference. Im ex directory and am still puzzeled as to how they know my name.

This number has called me numerous times over the past 3 or so days, including twice within 10 minutes of each other this morning! If you really want or need to speak to me, then leave a message on my answer machine, simple!! - these people will never leave a message and I will NEVER answer their harrassment calls on a number that I don t recognise. This company will ask to speak to owner of the business, then they will say that they are updating you on the support you gave for in my case a school, they will then tell you the info pack you agreed to has now been printed and sent and your bill is £££. Just persevere and refuse any claims they make that you 'apparently' agreed to and they will hang up. I just said I don't do any sort of support or external advertising.

I have just had a call from a lady from 01704 222222 claiming to work for Albany Assist and wanting to talk to me about the non fault accident I have had in the last two and a half years. I told her I hadn’t had one and the call ended. Reported to the real Albany Assist as per the request in this thread. Interesting that if you call the number back no one answers. Caller was a scouse female.

This number phoned me suggesting that I could claim ?3750 compensation for a totally bogus, non-existent accident that I never had. It s a scam, and these people are social pariahs. Scum of the earth. Should be thrown out of the country! When I tried to dial the number, it was unrecognised. So, totally bogus. Beware!!!!
SCAM this number rung me this morning saying that my national insurance number is at risk of being blocked as it has been linked to some illegal activities press 1 to speak to an officer. When speaking to a officer I asked him how do I know this isn't a scam and he hung up.

This is a scam. If your card is stolen and HSBC calls you, they wouldn t ask you to call back. I received a call from this number AFTER I cancelled my card. I terminated the call when I realised it was a scan. I didn t call back and didn t receive another call. A genuine fraud department would call again.
