Have had missed calls from this number for the past three days. No message left.

I get these once a day and have for the last 6 weeks, sick to death of them and nobody can stop these people.

Tried a free app called call zapper today! I m sure there s loads similar ones available too! Answer silently (you have to be somewhere quiet!) then press home button and really quickly open the app then hit the FAX button and it plays the fax tone down the line to them! Let s see if it results in my number being deleted from their database! Give it a try and post up here how you get on!! PS It s not my app or anything (!) just sharing something I hope will work! JL

Incessant calls from these people. No idea who they are, I just keep getting missed calls. They need reporting to Offcom

The following steps are suggested:

Some one phoned and asked to speak to me and I as asked who is it then they asked again and then hung up

Again say they produce activity books for disabled children and claimed they been in touch last year and it wasn t a good time for me then so calling now as would love to have me onboard. When I had no recollection of such a conversation & explained I was with a client she ploughed on with the fact that I d see a copy of my advert to proof before it went to print etc etc. I asked what company she thought she was phoning & she stated my company name that s only been in existence for 3months so story doesn t

Just had a very shady call, would only speak to the owner. These jokers called me today addressing me as "Mr Steven" I said where are you calling from? He said "Nationwide" I said "Really? Well then you should know that in Britain nobody is Mr first name either just use their first name or Mr with their last name". Saw the random number and predicted immediately it would be an insurance scammer. Sure enough, English sounding girl on the phone asking about recent accident. I told her I don t want to participate in her scam. She paused a few seconds and told me she was just calling from an insurance company (didn t actually say a company name). I told her no she wasn t.
