An Asian voice, poor English spoken, said they were from Open Reach, and needed to check my modem. They made a give-away mistake as they got my internet provider wrong. This is the third call over the last 10 days, saying the same thing. But I didn't make a note of the number until the third time they called, which was today at 4.30 pm.

Accident Calling from "the insurance company" when I asked him which one he just said about the accident I'd had. I asked which accident, as I've had a lot recently (I haven't needless to say) to which he replied the minor bump in the car. When I told I'd had a few of those in the last couple of months and I was worried that they were going to take my licence off me, but I didn't think it was my fault, even though they all said it was .... then the line suddenly went very quiet. :-)

SCAM A female agent called me with Mobile Phone = 07428693956 at 12:02 pm identifying themselves as BT Customer Services and Security. They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.

I was rang, and the caller was ringing about diesel claims. When I told him I wasn't interested and to remove me from the database, he shouted me down and asked me why I was interested. He continued to talk over me, saying he was working alongside the Dept of Transport and I should listen to him. NUMBER BLOCKED!
