Orkney code nearly got caught out as it is my local code. Really fed up of getting these calls.
Probably building to a scam, claimed to be BT a UK telephone provider investigating illegal activity on my internet, when I inquired as to who might be doing illegal things the caller suggested probably foreigners! The call was made at 7am in the morning to a private number, land line and one only known to family members.
SCAM allegedly from 02. Chap called John with a very heavy Indian accent wanted to offer me 30% off my tariff but couldn't tell me what tariff i'm on!.
This is a genuine Santander Fraud Department number. However I suggest you always call your bank using the number on the back of your Debit/Credit Card to check. This what I did and it was confirmed my Debit Card was being used by criminals, so needed cancelling and replacing.
