Claimed to be from Amazon, saying that someone had placed a £~2K order on my account and I had to push 1 or 2 to resolve the issue. Checked my account, no such order. Phoned back, got some poor woman who was at a beauty appointment. Someone is managing to get around fraud prevention by spoofing the number sources.
this number called me today at 10:51 it said that I was doing something illegal and would be cut off from the internet today. I was to press number 1 to talk to an adviser. NOT GOING TO. I called the number and it is one of those that goes dead when you finish dialing.

Keep getting this type of number on my mobile, this one starts with +447521831470 and it has Ashley recommending a loan, one blocks the number, then later one gets a changed number asking you are qualifying for a loan always showing +44 followed by a new number. HOW ANNOYING IS THIS. getting on to my phone provider to sort this out. Beware.
Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. This is an Indian call centre which asks you to do a quick survey which they add that they re not calling to sell you anything - as soon as you say that you re not interested they hang up.. the thing is, they call you the next day saying the exact same thing!!!
