Just got a call from this number - automated voice said there's a problem with my National Insurance number and there has been potential fraudulent activity relating to my National Insurance number. Then said press 1 to speak to an agent. I hung up. Definitely a SCAM.

SCAM yet another call from this Manchester area. Never leave a message (thank goodness for answerphones) only rings about 4 times. I get lots of calls from this area with different numbers - simes are so cheap these call centres can change their numbers so cheaply. I presume they are up to no good because this is a major center for such calls.

This no. Also called this morning when I was out, but I did 1471 to ascertain the phone number and read all your comments. It is very interesting that several of your comments relating to this number, I have just received in the past week, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day; such as the comment about it being a Californian compromise on the internet, but also supposedly BT IT Desk! Claimed they were expedite claims specialist, usual robotic woman who then passed you through to an indian call centre. I let him waffle, gave him some fake car details etc, kept him busy for about 10 minutes before hanging up. number now blocked.

Some random Indian woman calling herself "Angela" (as if!) claiming to be from BT Technical department stating I had problems with my router and she would fix them for me free of charge! I tried not to laugh out loud and let her carry on reading her script. when she had gone through various instructions and came to the bit where she says "what message is displayed" I launched into a verbally abusive tirade of foul language calling her a scamming F**ker and to F*ck Off. She didn t hang up immediately so I c
loud 'gentleman' Paul with asian accent calling from BT OUTREACH ....about my 'router'. Got very annoyed when I didn't believe him. When I asked him not to call again he 'assured' me that he would call again, rated dangerous because of his very aggressive attitude and his promise/threat to ring again.
