I received a call from this number just now. He said he was from a company called Technical Help Service and told me my computer had a virus. He tried to convince me using various methods including running the eventvwr (the errors listed there are not related to viruses!) This is identical to the well known Windows Technical Helpdesk scam. Just had a call from these people saying I may be due compensation for PPI mis-selling. A) I m not B) If I were, I know that I can apply for it for free, instead of them taking a huge cut of it. So I just kept him hanging on with "I ll be with you in just a second" until he gave up :-)
