An Indian sounding woman called Lisa. They called about an accident, they couldn't name the person that had the accident, what kind of accident or when. I asked where they got my number from and that was against data protection also. I asked them to remove my number from their list. I have now blocked them with my call blocker pro.

Indian sounding genteleman called, asked me if I was Mr >>>> XXXXXX. He got my name correct but I lied and said "No". He then asked are you a family member? I said "No". He obviously realised I wasn t telling him the truth and he started pretending to cry that I wasn t a family member! Then just hung up. This sort of thing wouldn t normally bother me but the call started identically to a worrying scam that happened earlier today. I have barred the call on my handset and would suggest you do not answer

A Man (after a pause) called on this number saying it was Amazon and that someone had ordered a smart phone on my account. I didn't give him chance to say what he wanted me to do about it - he was going to send an email. I put the phone down and checked with Amazon who confirmed no one had telephoned me from there.

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported, all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly call centres work for multiple clients - O2, charities...
