But what put me off was as soon as he had finished his schpeel he asked without prompt for my bank details. I said I would get back to him next week when I had done some research into the company.

This was a recorded message from a number purporting to be a bank (which bank not specified) and telling me that 2 dodgy transactions had just been recorded. One payment to Amazon, and one international payment via an unspecified website. Obviously crap, but a potential cause of anxiety nonetheless.
I don’t know who they are but I will find them I have a very unique set of skills I will kill you. They are saying that they want to send free lottery tickets. Scam. They are a debt recovery agency trying to track down people with bad debt. I don’t do debt I owe no one anything how the hell they got my number is a mystery. Any I think they are a fraud. The number is now blocked. I thought there was a law against this sort of phone scam.
I was out but hey left an automated message saying suspicious activity on my bank account, listing some of them. Then 'Press 1' to cancel these payments etc etc. Typical scam and definitely might catch some people out. I deleted the message.
This number appeared on my son's phone. He says he does not recognise it and didn't call it. The time of the call was when he would have been in a school lesson. Charged £6.90 for 11 seconds.

This guy called me and he said he was a member of the association AML "anti money laundering" in UK and international also. He pretended he could recover money from crypto websites. SCAM I believe A woman, sounding Indian, pretending to be from BT OpenReach about my internet quality We don't buy our internet from BT I suspect this was one of those "we have discovered traffic on your line caused by viruses and need to log in to your computer to fix it" scam calls. The call didn't get that far though. She hung up, probably realised that I knew what I was talking about.

The Phone rang and caller (a computer) hung up when I didn't speak! These are computer generated calls sniffing out voice lines. If you answered "hello" or anything else, then the line will be logged as 'a VOICE LINE' and you'll be called back later by some con-artist! If your phone rings and you don't recognize the number calling you, DON'T SPEAK! JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anything & the line goes dead then you've just successfully escaped being scammed!

Friendly number, an operator that he was previously on the phone with told him that my number was the person trying to place an order. So he called the wrong number and was a very funny man, not scam or spam.
