Got a call from this number- left to voicemail. Got a robot voice demanding to call it back as part of the HMRC. If i didn't there would be severe legal consequences. Pretty positive this is a scam or money call trap.

A scam they say you have hearing problems. As you worked in a factory etc. they know ur name and when u say no I don t have hearing problems. They just hang up. Think they want ppl to claim so they can make money. It s funny as blocked numbers for this. Then next thing they have another number to call me on. Don t think every get rid of them.

Cynical call, a day after receiving a SSE dividend, an unsolicited call from the USA about my share holding. An Indian sounding person, in a call centre, who had to asked on whose behalf he was calling. Then said it was some form of financial company. As if one would talk about your shares to an unknown person, acting for an off-shore company. Initially he was trying to make me believe he was connected to SSE.

These guys will claim that they are trying to close your file if you have had a car accident but all they are doing is phishing for more personal details. Told them I was speaking to my solicitors about them which hopefully will prevent further calls. They do not really help their cause for if you ring the number back an automated message says that it was a marketing call and you will be contacted again later. Idiots.

I rang back and the company refused to accept my call on the basis that I withheld my number - obviously whoever it is has something to hide.
The "Do Not Call List" is only effective against legal firms that have a legal footprint where they can be prosecuted. "The Caller Id" means nothing because they can type in anything they want, for ant or every phone call, so there s no legal significants to it. SCAM - automated message claiming from HMRC and asking to press 1 or risk warrant being issued against tax fraud. No mention about HMRC tax reference number or anything as such. Clearly a scam, don't fall for it.
SCAM Claim to be from BT, had my basic details but asked for more info, which I refused. They were offering me discounts on my BT bill. When I wouldn't confirm my date of birth they ended the call. DON'T give any information.
