This is apparently a genuine number for FedEx but it's been hi-jacked by a 'BT' scammer using a recorded message saying they've monitored suspicious activity. I cut the call then tried to dial 1471 but the line was still engaged and I had to try a couple more times before it cleared.
Indian voice called me asking for my Insurance number, saying that my NI is under investigation and there are criminal activities attached to my NI number. Wanted my NI and address. When I refused and ask to be sent a letter call was disconnected. Tried to call back but phone switched off
Telemarketing SCAM Without really paying attention to the 020 London code I answered the call this morning. A pleasant well spoken English lady asked me how I was. I relpied, I'm well, thank you. I proceeded to asked, who am I speaking too? She stated that she was calling from a claims agency and my tone soon changed... 'You were in a car crash in the last 2 years, is that correct?' SCAM It's a call from "Microsoft" stating hackers have been attacking my windows machine. I managed to keep the guy on the call for 4 minutes until he realised I was wasting his time when he asked if I'd seen event view before... I work in software development, hopefully wasting his 4 minutes stops another person falling for underhand tactics.
