I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

I don t answer calls from unknown numbers, but look them up on the Internet. Having read other people s comments I m pleased I didn t answer. Thank you all for your comments. They really helped.

This number has been calling my house phone repeatedly throughout the whole day. When i answer and dont say anything they hung up. I answered and they had my surname and asked for 30 seconds to answer some questions.. I said who is calling, they said Future Trends. I said i do not want to take part and they hung up! Idiots

Calls several times a day up to 9.30 pm incl. weekends. Answered once by mistake and a woman asked for my wife as she had spoken to her before. When told not married the woman hung up. Absolute nuisance calling so many times.

This number just phoned me again but when I answered, no one said anything and then finally the line went dead.
