SCAM / SPAM A face automated call alleging they are from Amazon and asking you to press 1 to speak to an account manager. Obviously a fake as I don't have an Amazon account and even if I did I wouldn't have give out this phone number.

Fraud - Indian call centre claiming to be from O2 but hiding behind a UK number as you are more likely to answer it. Offered savings off my bill and free upgrade wanted my details to check and the one time pass code that O2 were going to send me. Its a massive fraud once they have your account info they will go on a spending spree using your details but changing the delivery address. Just hang up or do not answer.

SCAM Caller said they were from Amazon and that I would have a high payment charged monthly (£79.99) unless cancelled and the caller was going to "help me" cancel my Amazon Prime subscription. After some arguing (as she tried to get me to stay on the line), I hung up and checked Amazon website going through their online chatbot. This is UPS, this number will not receive calls but is Customer Services trying to contact you. You have to call the main number to get back to them.

Obviously these callers dont want to speak with old owners. because they asked for the new owner (claiming to call from the registration service). I said im the old one, then they hung up. Very strange!

An automated computer call to test if the connection is a voice line, if you speak your number will be listed and you'll be called back by an agent - who will usually be trying to SCAM YOU. SOLUTION: Whenever the phone rings with a number you don't recognise DON'T SAY HELLO OR MAKE ANY OTHER SOUND! Always wait for the caller to speak first. If the line hangs up you can be certain it was a scam. STAY SAFE - Don't accept or respond to unsolicited calls.
