He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.
SCAM. Automated message claiming to be HMRC. Saying they had detected tax fraud in my name, but not mentioning my name, and that I had to press 1 or... at which point I hung up. I would expect if the HMRC were to call me they would ask for me by name.

2 weeks ago I answered and a lady with very little knowledge in englsih talked to me. She could not say the company name or anything. I told her to delete my cell phone number completely and said I wasn t interested at all in anything she could say. Despite this that number has called me in average 2-3 times a day... for 2 weeks.. As there is no company name to be told - I suspect they re nothing but hackers.. But can t say for sure.

Scam is to get Yr correct information name dob.. address and ask u for the 2 letter and 2nd 4th letter of your national insurance number then they say it does NOT match put u in fear that if u don't confirm correct details BTW now with NI BUT with 1st letter, 1st 3rd and last letter of NI. Convincing u if it was a scam why hv they not asked for bank details Ah so they can open account with Yr now given credentials.

Call from man (no gentleman) with Indian accent who claimed to be from Microsoft Technical Department. When I jokingly replied that I was from Microsoft fraud department he ranted down the phone at me for 15 minutes in abusive language before he eventually hung up. I have had scam calls before but this one was downright offensive.
