This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Three Mobile, could be also calling in the name of another telco operator... Just a call centre.

I received a private phone call from someone called Shahid regarding a visa application form. I *have* submitted evidence for a relative of mine and included my mobile number, but I felt uneasy answering any questions out of the blue, especially as this person expected me to tell him who the visa is for (surely you should be telling *me*?). Received a call on my mobile from an Asian woman with a very thick accent from a technical department who are "wanting to fix my internet". Despite asking several times to confirm where she was based, I received the same response "wanting to fix my internet". I told her "what a load of b******s" and she put the phone down. I presume from the number they are based in Asia, but connected to a UK phone number.
