It IS Sky and if you ask them they will openly state they got your number from a third party. IE, they bought it. Have you done a survey of ANY kind? If so that is how your number is passed to them. They will apologise and remove your number from their database if you request it.

Just had a very strange phone call to my mobile from 1135181884 a Leeds number telling me he was sending me 10 free goes on the national lottery, I asked what the catch was he said none . This Telephone Number called to say that my Amazon Prime Account was being cancelled. Since I don't subscribe to Amazon I suspect the return call number was a premium rate number. was suppressed me is that it is very local and linked to M&S telephone number which must have been hacked.
