Older person came out of hospital today to find call from this number purporting to be from "Lisa at HMRC" and saying that there is a serious lawsuit against the person and he must ring the number :( :( Person is registered with TPS.

SCAM - I am getting this number call daily. I answered it today and a woman with a heavy Indian accent, told me she was from the Technical Department at Sky. Her report told her that suspicious activity was happening with my Sky router, but she could help me. I asked how how that could be, given I don't have Sky.... the line went silent
As usual the dirty filthy packies have changed their number again, they basically call you, tell you your pc is fucked which how could they low? Seriously! If you fall for this your deserve it! I recieved a call from a company introducing themselves as Energy Helpline and stated that they were looking to help me out on my Home Phone and Broadband bills. They convinced me to switch to another provider and that I had to pay an amount upfront for an activation fee? Is this normal? Then they stated they had a power cut as soon as I gave those details and they then had to ring me back? Sounds suspicious if you ask me, it has been an hour now. What is happening???

This is a Scam currently being perpetrated against UK residents. A recorded voice tells you that the call comes from your bank and £600 has been taken from your credit card, if you did not authorise this then press 1. I have confirmed with both my bank and the bank used by my business and both are aware of this Scam. There is no name available but I think the business could well be called "The Bar Stewards".

Very abrupt chap called Charles said he was from Domestic Appliances and would not let me get a word in edgeways. He said my appliances were no longer covered as my insurance had run out. I asked him which appliance had recently lapsed insurance - he wouldn't answer just said "are all your appliances in working order. I said I already had appliance cover - he put the phone down.
