Do NOT under any circumstances send them a “deposit” or holding fee, or any sort of money up front. You will never see your item, and they are not from the town or city they claim to be but are in fact hundreds of miles away.
They keep calling me, I no longer answer but they keep calling. Wish I could get them to stop

Possible scam. Women said she was from Amazon and they'd noticed unusual activity on my Mum's account. Told her to press 1 if she hadn't bought something for £700. Mum was suspicious, rang off, got the number by dialing 1471 then rang it back. Women who answered refused to give her name and said she hadn't called Mum and didn't work for a company.

This following is clearly obvious “Royal Mail were in Strike on the 24th Dec”. These stupid Thieving Clowns. I ve been getting these car accident calls for about 10months, it s the same female voice each time. I ve previously tried reporting them to the TPS. Get them once-twice a week or every 1-2 months. Swearing at them seems to delay the next call.
SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)

SCAM VERY DANGEROUS - Electronic voice claimed I'd been committing tax fraud, presumably as a means to try and extract information. Despite the London number it then connected to a callcentre in what sounded like India. They clearly had no details on me whatsoever. When I asked them who the hell they were and what their game was they quickly hung up.
Missed it, called back and said "i was lucky enough to be enetered into a draw for an ipad, all they needed was 2 minutes of my time" lucky me!..... blocked it.
