No idea who it was, called the number back and the number appears to be a defunct. as a precaution block the number and avoid as likely to be a spam.

SCAM - National Crime Agency stating that my NI number's been suspended and talk to an agent. When connected through agent, first question was about my name and when I asked who am I talking to, line was disconnected.
Spam - an idiot, talking to me like an idiot and trying to tell me something idiotic (something about a credit report he has for me).
I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. I am not sure. People be aware..but don t forget to care!

Too long a pause to wait for an answer. After I received this call my virus protector warned me that my computer was connected to an unsafe wi-fi link. It definitely had been OK before. I don t know if there was any connection between these things but I would check your wi-fi after receiving it to be on the safe side

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . They ring up to 5 times a day most calls silent but when they do speak its with a strong asia accent its really annoying we too are on tps begining to think they have somthing to do with it as they are not stopping them
