been called today by this number, claiming a can get cheaper sky insurance, he checked my address which he told me. it was my OLD address which i lived 3 years previously. ALARM BELLS START RINGING. I was called on my mobile by someone trying to tell me that my sister (I have power of attorney) owed 53.23 to BT but if I paid the full amount by card, then she would have her line restricted and avoid further charges of 18.00 for re-connection. They were really pushy that I make a payment but I thought something was off and wouldn t give any details at all!

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!
