SCAM / SPAM Someone pretending to be from HMRC saying them at there was a fraudulent claim made in my name and to press 1 to speak to an operator. Told me if I didn’t connect to an operator then a warrant would be issued for my arrest.

SCAM Claimed to be a company called AST or Aftercare Support Team. Pretended to be a white goods insurer and offered reduced rate for reinsuring washing machine as policy was due to expire. We don't have insurance on our washing machine, so this was clearly a lie. They did specifically state our house name though, so have clearly collected some specific data about us before calling.

Checked on 1471 and full telephone no. ringing me was 0049170285347. Blocked number, contacted bank, no unauthorised transaction, so a scam.

This is apparently a genuine number for FedEx but it's been hi-jacked by a 'BT' scammer using a recorded message saying they've monitored suspicious activity. I cut the call then tried to dial 1471 but the line was still engaged and I had to try a couple more times before it cleared.

No company has sent me a letter re need for payment, the 1 company it could?ve been doesn?t use capquest so I assume they are chasing a statute barred debt again. In fact capquest haven?t sent a letter either funnily enough, then they wonder why i wont give out my details for ?data protection purposes?!!! My data is already not protected!!
