Called me twice so far today. Automated voice claiming to be from Mastercard/Visa, saying that £600 has been withdrawn from my account and to press 1 immediately, as my account has been compromised. Scaremongering and fraudulent. I hung up each time.

The caller rang off before I could answer
They call here all the time and make unsolicited calls. When I asked the caller to remove my number from the list, they were kind of evasive and had the nerve to ask me why I didn t want to be on their call list anymore. (Which was kind of ignoring the fact that I never wanted to be on their list to begin with, but I decided to let that slip). I told them I wasn t interested - they asked why I wasn t interested anymore, at which point I hung up. I don t respond well to child-like q&a-games!

I spoke to George at Insure me online. He was actually very professional, and it was to do with a life insurance enquiry that I made online. I did tell him about me Googling his number as I didn t recognise it, and we had a bit a joke about why I would spend my time searching for his number, when it s so much easier to just pick up the phone. ...anyway, he seemed like a nice chap, so my advice to anyone else is just to pick up the phone and see what he has to say.
This gentleman called me to say he had a missed call from my iPhone. I never made any call
SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access. Real dodgy call, trying to give impression of a law enforcement of traders and wanted payment on a list they compile saying you are trusted while suggestions anyone not on it will be branded as a bad trade. Expression they used was before we start naming and shaming.
