I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. 100% FRAUD! They left me a voicemail, quoting a DHL import duty invoice that I paid 3 weeks ago. I called them, spoke to 'RAJU' - he knew all about me, my company and my invoice, but said don't worry as you've already paid. This is obviously someone at DHL leaking account details to fraudsters, who are preying on people who don't know/remember that they've already paid. recieved a call from HSBC today. somethin about upgrading the "ordinary" account to "premium". well, I don t like being cold called so I hang up. a day later I phoned HSBC. they told I hadn t been called. so..... question... are the guys at HSBC liars or, and more likely, this call had the sole purpose of aquiring account details and so on, aka phishing.
