The person on the other first said a Hello. The voice was very deep. And then the HMRC taped message started running. So I just put it down. Must be a fake/scam as the number is supposed to be somewhere in Khazakstan.

Received a text from this mobile number claiming to be First Direct Bank, with a link. Apparently my account has been suspended, tap link to verify activity. I am not with First Direct and why would a bank be texting anybody? These texts with links are designed to trick us into installing scamming software on our phones. Please do not tap on these links. It was about a motor accident (as usual) - and when I said I said I hadn t had one, the caller said it could have been another type of motor accident. I said it wasn t for me, and asked twice to be taken off their list. Was told that they would "update their records".
