SCAM / SPAM Pretending to be from HMRC saying there is an outstanding warrant and if I do not press a number to contact them I will be fined.
Silent call, nuisance calls at all hours, no one speaks and hangs up. Suspect this is one of a number of Northwich phone numbers in some sort of new scam to get the recipient to call back.
Call center lied saying we had requested update on BT Openreach became abusive and shouting after called out on lie, repeated calls afterwards immediately hung up on answer.
Queried how got my number ‘in our database’. Kept asking who are you and what do you want. They ended the call

Indian Call Center, 02088943604, in your ear kind of call about mobile phone deals, told her not interested, asked her to remove my number from the list and she hung up, before I hunged up. Lesson Learned simply hang up on them. About time the governments and phone operators stopped these kind of calls, SPAMS and FRAUD are No.1 crimes.

At best this a company that breaks the PECR regulations by calling people on the TPS list. At worst it s a scam preying on older people because they don t seem to have a website and are asking whether you re over 65. Had a Puppy from Shoreham Pet Rescue, Charlie came with FREE 4 weeks insurance from PetPlan, I was told if you Do Not want to continue with the insurance, Just do nothing, and it will be cancelled, PetPlan has rang me for 2 weeks Twice a day, IT IS JUST SELLS,now I know it is PetPlan, I WILL answer the call next, and tell them NO to insurance for Charlie, That should Stop the calls.? I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Received call from this number claiming to be "The Preservation Advisory Service", saying that an article in the Telegraph had highlighted how additional home insulation could reduce air quality and that they offered a free air quality measurement service. When I asked which company he worked for, he said his manager would tell me after I had arranged a visit from them. I pushed for this and he hung up.
