14 Dec 2021 - Spam caller. I didn't accept the call, so rejected it upon my phone ringing as mine always tells me when it's a spam call during the ringing. Have since blocked it as I'm not as gullible as the spammer thinks. No idea who the spam call was from, but from experience I knew it was one of the many spam calls I've been getting for the past ten days at least. Just realized something: it's because it's the run up to Christmas. Reply

I had a call from a woman with an Indian accent on this number purporting to be from Virgin Media, saying there were error messages coming up on my Internet connection. I told them I wasn't the account holder and asked who they wanted to speak to. They then said that they understood I was the account holder. I asked them to name the person they wanted to speak to. The line went dead at that point, funnily enough. Definitely a scam.
I have been getting calls from this number and I blocked them on iPhone. Then they call from another number. It s the same people selling insurance or saying you had accident!! They never leave messages, can t call the number back as there is no ring and no one picks up! It s a scam number run by scam group. I am very annoyed because they used my name when they spoke to me. The text from above number asks you to help save the environment by going paper free by receiving your bank statements, documents and letters via email rather than the post. It said it will send me an email with my actual email address in the text, which I can see would again seem very legitimate). It said type ‘YES’ to go paper free. DO NOT!

I have received several calls to my mobile from this number recently. If I don t answer the phone, they don t leave a message and when I do answer it the caller appears to hang up. I am wandering if it is SPAM or a wrong number (but surely if the latter they would have left a message for someone else or spoken to me and discovered the error). I ve noticed several Manchester numbers being associated with unwanted calls to EE customers and wonder if this number is also being used by the same people/company.
