the caller wanted me to do a survey about my energy usage. He had my name right but the address he had on file was of my student accommodation which happened to have bills included and I haven t lived there since 2010. He asked for my current address but there was no way I was going to tell him.
I have received numerous calls from this number to my young sons phone......... Not happy as this costs me when he phones back missed calls....

SCAM - a recorded message claiming to be from the national crime office stating that my National Insurance number has been associated with various crimes (or some such drivel). Who would have thought the national crime office were using a plain old 3 network number instead of a private number? Not the first time I've heard from these twits. Number now blocked.

These people keep phoning claiming they are the support for my internet providers. How do I get rid of them? I ask them which IP since I have 3, one of which is a bank, and I have 3 modems in my house. That normally makes them swear at me and hang up. The other method is to ask them which IP they are calling about, and when they say one, true or not, I say that the account is set up with a security word and they must confirm that before I can talk to them. Man with Indian accent asked for me by name, claiming to be calling in relation to DNS mail server problems. Asked if my computer has been running slowly or with issues and then asked if I was happy for him to go ahead with fixing it. I am ex-directory and TPS registered etc so asked how he got my details which he then claimed he got from my ISP. Clearly that wouldn t happen due to data protection so I asked for his company name and contact details so I could call them later. He said i could check them out
