Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!

This seems to be a scam, someone pretending to be someone's child, saying 'Hi Mum, this is my new number. My phone doesn't turn on on anymore so now you can text and call me on this number'. My child would not write like this. Please be aware.

SCAM - says from uk revenue and customs, recorded by woman with American accent threatening court action if you don’t press 1 to speak to an agent. Don’t do it - all correspondence from government departments come via post!!!

I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. It is an automatic voice that claims to be from "your bank" saying it has suspicious activity - asking you to click a button to verify or speak to someone. I hung up. I presume it's a scam as it doesn't say which bank, and the transactions I don't recognise (and we haven't lost our card etc.) Fraud Banking

Strange message from person named Lana, saying taking daughter to Aquarium this weekend and wanting to know if they were interested in coming. This number has been reported to o2 as spam. Unable to say if this is a spam number or genuine number sending message by mistake ... although i see it has now been reported 4 times in on day so i suspect its a Scam of some sort.

Pretending to be from British Gas - telling me to report my meter readings using a weird prefix - I believe this is a phone hacking scam.

American accent,said l owed taxes and the sheriff was going to arrest and take me to jail unless I gave them my name/address and bank details ……….think he/they thought I was going to panic and give them my details!!!

Called and asked for very confidential information. I caught the scam and didnt give it to them. They are a danger to society and a threat to children. I am not free to reveal any more details but beware of this number.

There are hundred or so text charges showing on phone provider account to me. But it they were not sent for my phone, there is no record of these text messages being sent on my phone's log.

Said internet had been hacked on voicemail to press one and press 2 sounds like American robot, Getting so many callls a day like this Keep blocking them but using alternative numbers Weirdos

Utilities: Indian voice saying that they were from EE. Told them I was with Vodafone (I'm not) and was informed that EE and Vodafone were now joined (they're not, Vodafone are looking to join with 3). I then hung up and blocked the numberSPAM

Said they were from Carphone Warehouse. They hung up immediately when I said that I don't have anything from Carphone Warehouse. Seemed very fishy...

SCAM Claimed to be calling me about a 40% discount for my three subscription, but had to ask my name and email, indicating to me that they had just gone through a list of Three phone numbers, and it didn't seem very official, so I hung up.
