Retarded call system means you wait a while to have the "agent" speak to you. Rude staff, the typical rubbish ambulance chasing type. Report to the ICO, this practice is bad enough without having a two bit con firm deliver these calls at a very low standard even for this industry, should be closed down.

They rang several times, when I answered it there was some background noise, but no-one speaks, then they cut it off.
Automated voice saying it's regarding a transaction on my Amazon account, order for over 1k using the card that has been used recently. It was asking me to press 1 if it is me placing the order or 2 if it's not. Obviously I hang up. Clearly a scam.

This number dialled few moments ago: A computer generated voice said it was HMRC stating a fraud claim has been raised against me, If i don't state my name etc I will be arrested immediately. Do NOT leave your details, this is not to be trusted and most definitely IS a highly dangerous. I was called from this number 6/3/21, saying my computer has been hacked. I told him this call was being recorded by Merseyside police (white lie), he told me to put on my computer and tried to tell me to look for icons/apps (not sure). I asked him whose name is my computer in, he said something and I said thats wrong, I asked him what my name was, he didn't know He had said he was calling from Microsoft at Thames Valley Park, he hung up, but it seems the number is from Wakefield
SCAM Asian man claiming to be from "Networking Department at Openreach". Didn't say what he was calling about so I hung up because (a) Openreach don't contact the public direct out of the blue but would do so through the relevant ISP and (b) my internet comes via the independent KCOM network in Hull which has nothing to do with Openreach.
SCAM. Holiday travel agent. If you buy weeks from them with your bank card they will take multiple payments. Call themselves Dream Breaks, Prestige Resorts. Avoid. I’ve learned the hard way. Now they silent call !
