Received a call off a man claiming to be from a Sapphire in Cardiff, he told me I filled out a survey (which I have been doing recently) n because of this I m now lucky enough to win a free £20 voucher for fuel, he then went on to say that I only need to pay £1 for postage, he already had my name n address. Stupidly I gave over my bank details (long card number n expiry date) I did actually question him on the phone about why he needs my card details but he ensured me that it s all real n gave me his person

Repeated calls over a period of a month. Then switched to UNKNOWN number and continued to call. Each caller was direct and rather nasty. When I called them up on the fact they got rather hostile and continued to call.

25 Nov 2021 - Not an 02 or 03 number so are the scammers changing tactics. Couldn’t understand a word chap was saying so put phone down. After reading other comments it would appear to be the scam to white goods insurance cover. I had a similar call a couple of months ago from a guy called Martin (by his accent a long shot on this being his real name) Claiming to be from D&G about renewing insurance cover. Or maybe they just work in the UK? I too didn t get far in the conversation before this actually nice lady hung up. I was also just curious about how they got my number. Easy answer really but hanging up to me was a sign that perhaps they aren t so legitimate. Oh well.

Apparently a market research company based in Ashford, Kent. When I have to give my phone number to a company (bank, etc) I don t expect it to be passed to ANYONE - even a company doing research for whoever I gave my number to. I especially hate being called at 1900 - 2100 hrs and the phone not ringing long enough for me to answer it, even if I wanted to. Especially annoying if I m actually expecting someone to call and then the phone goes dead . Don t need this harassment at my age.
