I keep getting calls from this number and when I asked for their details and the reason for the call they became abusive, Now I just let the answerphone kick in for any I/C call,next step OFCOM....

Very crackly line with an automated voice - the only bits I could make out was that they had some information about me and if I didn't press 1, I would be arrested. Possibly a scam for personal details.

I was charged ?18 in June and a further ?30 in July for a series of texts (?6 per texts) on my mobile bill. EE, who is my mobile provider said they could not refund me the charges as they were from a 3rd party for services such as an entry in a prize draw, or a game download, which apparently I had requested, and as such they could not refund the charge. The number 0800 862 0818 is genuine, but everyone should always consider if a number is spoofed - try to get them to tell you something about you that they know already. Eg if they ask for your email, tell them a fake one and see if they know it's fake. If they don't, they may not be genuine.

Calls my mobile every other day twice a day. Foolishly answered it last summer and i think it was either PPI or have u had an accident. They still calling me. Very annoying.

Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them. NEVER call unknown numbers back and NEVER press ...
This number just rang me. Another number I don’t recognise. I don’t know who the one who called me with this number so I didn’t answer.

Caller claimed to be from BT. From such a professional organisation, I would expect the caller to identify themselves personally, such as 'hello my name is abc, from BT, etc. So I assumed it to be a scammer either trying to either sell me something or obtain personal information about me. I'd also expect the 'phone number to come up in google search. Told caller to 'bogoff'.
