14 Dec 2021 - I got a call from 044 1235 590638 in India. I was dumb enough to dial back for the missed call number. I was placed on HOLD and no one answered my call for the 6 minutes of wait time. I would like to know if I have been scammed in anyway. Kindly let me know if you can. Reply

These have got hold of my dad s card details but he s not sure how (probably over the phone) he has now had £79 taken from his account which he s had to cancel. Don t trust them!!!

020 is the code for London. The 8 afterwards denotes outer London. But if you want the specific address, you'll have to phone the number!

Told him I am not with BT as they are useless but he insisted that all other providers use BT and it was up to them to sort out and stop all these other people using my internet I just need to start up my computer and allow their technician access to fix! The caller stating saying about the RSPCA so I listened to what he was saying and as he went on realised he was going to ask for money, ?10 a month thats all, I said no thanks, then he went on about cruelty to animals and said what about ?1 a week, I still said no thanks, had to hang up in the end

Said our direct debit stopped so was collecting money. Thick Scottish accent. Have also reported to Ofcom and TPS

Scammers who claim to be from "Telephone Preference Management" and try to get your debit card details on the pretext (ironically) of blocking nuisance calls. Preying on the elderly and gullible, as usual. Nasty.

Pre-recorded message claiming to be from BT but not sure why a British company would use someone ( or voice generation software) with a mid-Atlantic accent to deliver a message to a UK-based customer. Some rubbish about disconnecting my Internet if I don t follow instructions which, undoubtedly, would involve me in racking-up a huge phone bill, i.e. if press either 1 or 2 as instructed. I hung-up. A variation on the SCAM calls from India about problems with internet account.

Very rude, pushy telemarketer insisting on speaking to company owner after being told several times they were not based at this site. Asking for personal mobile, refusing to give any info about where they were calling from. Hung up.

Called my mobile and asked for me by name. Claimed to be from Nationwide Building Society and started trying to confirm my postcode. When I asked to be told why they were calling first they hung up. I suspect this to be a scam.
