Not sure if it is a scam, but concerned they knew my name, and what domestic appliances I have. We recently cancelled insurance with Domestic and General, so wondering if they have sold on our details. Told them I don't need their insurance as would by new if beyond economic repair, and the caller seemed surprised that I could fix a recent washing machine problem myself. Called from “the financial institution” wouldn’t clarify who that was or where they got my data, she got very angry when I questioned her and accused me of “playing around” and “being very rude” and then hung up on me.
