so angry, now had 5 calls from this number, and can t call it back, nobody speaks. Rang us at 11.15pm and again between 1 and 2am last night. registered with TPS but they can t stop it and BT can t help unless we pay for a blocker and different phones. So wrong these companies can do this to the public, also scary when phone rings in the middle of the night

SCAM Received a call apparently from O2 asking if my phone service was good. I said it was fine and hung up. Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
Same area as a number of 078 prefixed numbers, multiple phones obviously.

Called from this number 08.31 today - caller claimed to be from my bank and that there had been suspicious payments on my bank card. This was followed by the usual requests that I press numbers to confirm or reject these payments, I did neither just hung up and checked my bank information.

I was asked about my pension history and whether I had a PIP. If I did the government have announced that I should be able to reclaim over-charging, particularly if my pension pot was more than £10,000. I asked for details of their website and she gave me theirs where there is no reference to this. Also mention gov.co.uk (which is obviously gov.uk) and I can find no reference to what she said. Also nothing on Moneysaving Expert, my go-to place for this type of thing.

Number claims to be from NHS stating I have been in contact with someone who has Omicron Variant and I must order a free PCR testing kit and left a link to claim it. How would they know I have been in contact with someone with that variant? Expect it is a scam and if I clicked on the link who knows what the result might be. A scummy telesales company. They are a legal claims company trawling for business for people whose hearing has been damaged by working in noisy environments. It appears they may have had their database supplied by "Perfect Preferences", but in any event they ignore the TPS database, and as such their cold calls are ILLEGAL.
