Since then they have moved on to School Book scams fronted by a Kelly Griffiths under the name of Embrace Education based in Chester. It’s very rare the books get sent out, and only do if you check with school and ask for money back.

Calls several times a day up to 9.30 pm incl. weekends. Answered once by mistake and a woman asked for my wife as she had spoken to her before. When told not married the woman hung up. Absolute nuisance calling so many times.
Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me. An Indian man calling from ?Remote Security? and enquiring about a ?computer or laptop in your house? I told him we didn?t have either and he carried on trying to talk, so I repeated that we didn?t have either and to not call again and he hung up. Someone calling from CAMHS which is child and adolescent mental health services. I told her I didn t have anyone at my address below the age of 18 and she must have the wrong number. To which she informed me if she had my number I did! Unfortunately for her I work for YOT and with CAMHS so sent her on her merry way. Very odd and I will be checking this out.?

Buy a CPR callblocker - stops them dead and they can't call again. It has a big red button for blocking calls and you can programme in over 1000 numbers.
This was an automated call stating is was the national crime agency, it said my national insurance number has been associated with criminal activity and I needed to press 1 to prevent my NI being frozen and me being arrested. I didn’t.

SCAM, forcefully tries to convince about Bitcoin investment, not taking NO as an answer, falsely claiming that "you ARE interested" pretending they have your name and number on a list. Then they call again another day, from another number, several times a week.
I subscribe to The Economist, and renewed my subscription very late this year, a few days after the expiry. I finally picked up this call after several days and they said they wanted to know if I would renew my Economist subscription. I said that I already had, and they said "Oh, let me check my new system. Oh yes, you have, that s ok then." and that was all. A little odd, but seems like the Economist gives them the opportunity to salvage some lapsed subscriptions.
