Said the companies name was “Motor Engineers” knew about an accident I had and was encouraging me to put a counter claim in making me eligible to receive £1500. Clearly my insurance company (RAC) is selling my personal information to scammers globally and I really do mean globally.

I answered without looking as I was in a rush the person constantly asked who they were speaking to when I refuse to give my name they then said they were from octopus energy I explained I had never heard of them and had no intentions of changing my energy provider I tried to end the call a number of times they kept talking and insisting they could save me money in the end I had to be rude and put the phone down

Dodgy Number No Way

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12073279xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

Call numerous times daily no one ever speaks until you do. They never say who they are they just keep asking for me to confirm my name. I now just answer phone by saying Hello you have reached battersea dogs home Jack Russell speaking occasionally Al Satian answers too. They put phone down.

Caller rang and said his name was David Parker, he had a very heavy Asian accent and sounded like he was in a call centre. He claimed to be from BT and said our broadband connection was insecure. When I asked for a contact number he gave me the number 02032898768. I rang this number and it rang several times then cut off. I realised it was a scam and thought nothing more of it. Then around 4 hours later he phoned again and said had I rang the number as he had been waiting for my call as it was important

press 2 and someone will call you back - do not answer do not press 2 do not pass go or collect £200!!!!!

The caller knew the dates on my credit card and name .Asked me to confirm that I was a pensioner and wanted me to confirm the long number .I hung up

SCAM - person I do not know who repeatedly called back and said she was Cornelia, 'that stupid German' that she knew me and had spoken to me the day before. She hung up when I asked how she knew me. Believe she was after my full name/other details.

Barclays text message claiming £4,000 had been attempted to be taking from bank A/C on 4/3/16. Reply Y if yes & if not call this number, have your card reader to hand .SCAM
