Had a call from this number, identified itself as Humberside Police to my call barring service but then cut off when I tried to answer. Line went dead when tried to recall. Called police, they had no record of anyone trying to ring my number nor did they recognise this 56677 number. Chris, my local energy adviser, calls every day. I have asked for my number to be removed from their list. His response ? No.
This number and the following number; 07404235048 keeps phoning me (so far 5 times today) and a recorded message says that they are from BT and we have had a security breach with our phone line and broadband and that they are going to turn us off and trying to get us to press a button to respond to them. We are not even with BT!!! DON'T trust these phone numbers.

As others, I answered the phone and waited, and waited, and waited. After around 15 seconds I heard it start to dial out, and someone then began to speak but I closed the call before responding. Clearly a call centre whose autodial is calling faster than their agents can respond.
