Just got a call from this number. They asked for me by name and then asked me to confirm my washing machine brand. When I said I was not sure they hung up. I am sure they just want to check if the number is real before they sell it on or bombard me with other unwanted calls. They obviously did not check on the preferences list which I have contacted to make sure that these calls do not happen. Waste of time.

Seems to be used for some call centre working for financial companies - similar numbers are reported with PPI and financial offers/loans, all the same 020347658xx range of numbers. Block it if not interested. I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (wery usefull for call centres). No problems.

Received a phonecall from this number yesterday claiming they were Vodafone. I'm not a Vodafone customer. He asked me what my current tariff was and proceeded to aggressively hard sell me a Vodafone equivalent (which was no better than my current one!!)
