Call came approx. 3 hours after one from 01247 896583 which research suggested SCAM was from people purporting to be from BT.01495 No was a pattern so I picked up and blew my trusted whistle down the phone. Magic! They won t ring again.

If you speak to these people quote the statute of limitations "Statutes of limitations are written laws passed by a legislative body in common law systems to set the maximum time after an event when legal proceedings may be initiated. When the period of time specified in a statute of limitations passes, a claim can no longer be filed" Statute barred debt refers to a debt that s not enforceable because the time a creditor has to chase payment has passed. This is outlined under the Limitation Act 1980.

Had a call today at 12.31 from this number, with a particularly nasty scam. He told me his name was "Peter" (though his accent was asian) and that he was from the "computer licensing department". He informed me that my computer has been running from two IP addresses and that it would be shut down if I didn t act. Calls about an accident I never had. I have blocked about dozen different numbers from this company all starting 020 7946 XXXX Pure and simple SCAM calls. Do not answer and block.
